Now that Van Jones has resigned, there are other "Czars" who need to do the same. The very existance of the position of czar is questionable Constitutionally. The people in these position are appointed and weild much power yet they are not subject to any vetting or approval process.
How do they exert their unconstitutional power? They threaten people within their perview. For example the Car Czar may say to the Obama-appointed CEO, "You WILL manufacture such-and-such a type of car in this amount that gets thus-and-such gas mileage." If that person balks, he or she is simply told to do so or, "We'll make your life and that of GM miserable."
In the same way the major banks were told that they HAD to take the bailout money whether they needed it or wanted it. Then the document they were forced to sign made them subject to all the purview and control the Whitehouse chose to exert on them, threats and all. The saying was and is, "You are at the table or you are on the menu."
We now have an administration that is nothing more than Chicago street thugs with all the threats and intimidation techniques pertaining thereto. Many of these activities would even be illegal in Chicago, yet in the Whitehouse they become the defacto "law of the land."
Will we wake up soon enough to stop this massive turn to European Socialism? Will we ever recognize or admit that socialism of this nature has NEVER succeeded in any country in the world where it has been tried?

The Governmental Pretense of Care

Jefferson got it right! He well understood that government extracts the labor of its citizens in the form of taxation and inflation all the while pretending to take care of them.
Taking "care" of us? Bankrupt Social Security system, bankrupt Medicare system, bankrupt Postal Service, bankrupt and corrupt Freddie Mac and Fannie Mae? ... everything already draining our resources faster than we can generate more income.
How's that for caring for us?
And now they want to take over health care! INDEED! No thank you!

Terminal Patients Die Prematurely Under Government Health Plan
The British National Health Service has acknowledged that many terminally ill patients die prematurely. Terminally ill patients are "being made to die" experts warn!
"Under NHS guidance introduced across England to help doctors and medical staff deal with dying patients, they can then have fluid and drugs withdrawn and many are put on continuous sedation until they pass away.
But this approach can also mask the signs that their condition is improving, the experts warn.
As a result the scheme is causing a “national crisis” in patient care, the letter states. It has been signed palliative care experts including Professor Peter Millard, Emeritus Professor of Geriatrics, University of London, Dr Peter Hargreaves, a consultant in Palliative Medicine at St Luke’s cancer centre in Guildford, and four others.
“Forecasting death is an inexact science,”they say. Patients are being diagnosed as being close to death “without regard to the fact that the diagnosis could be wrong.
“As a result a national wave of discontent is building up, as family and friends witness the denial of fluids and food to patients."
This is the picture of government run health care ... and only part of it!
You may say that that would never happen here. Why not? The British are not stupid people nor do they simply have a disregard for human life. What about the Canadians, Russians, Chinese, French, and Cubans. Are they too stupid to avoid such "problems?" Of course not!
What we are witnessing is the end result of a mandated government system!
True, our medical system needs some corrections, but scrapping the whole system for one in which the government has the control is NOT a solution for which we should settle.
With an out-of-control Congress, an out-of-control administration, broken and bankrupt governmental systems, and a deficit that cannot be paid off by our grandchildren, the best action for our Congress to take is to DO NOTHING!
The simply cannot be trusted.

Obama's Health Plan -- Murder-Suicide
President Obama has already admitted publicly that he is "foggy" on the Healthcare Bill.
Foggy indeed!
He does not understand it, yet he is INSISTENT that it be passed immediately without adequate time for any legislator to read it!
Dick Morris calls it suicide. He says that, if it is passed, the Democratic Party will be committing suicide.
It is actually murder-suicide! The Democratic Party and all their liberal, socialist promoters will be killing the nation with a socialized medical system that has already failed in every country where it has been tried. THEN they will commit political suicide
This is NOT properly debated legislation, it is a cram-down! It is being crammed down the throats of the American people and small businesses!
As Senator Ted Kennedy told us in the mid-1960s after the Medicare program--projected to cost 88 million dollars--was passed and overran the estimates by more than double that, it was important to pass the bill and stating the real cost would have derailed it.
It is obvious that the proponents DO know how much it will really cost. That is not important to them. What they really want is control of the system, so they, not you or your physician will be able to make all the decisions.

Judge Sotomayor is Truly Dangerous to Freedom
Think that President Obama's appointment of Judge Sonia Sotomayor is warranted? Think again.
She has a history of casting the law aside when she feels it should be otherwise. She has no compunction to follow the law when she disagrees with it. Many of her opinions and decisions are terrible flawed.
Many of her decisions have been overturned by the Supreme Court. She clearly feels guns should not be in the hands of citizens, and that civil rights are NOT to be decided by the law. She has also stated that unelected judges should be deciding our nation's policies rather than our elected representatives.
This nation cannot afford to have Judge Sotomayor on our Supreme Court!
Look at this balanced analysis.

GUARANTEED FAILURE: Raising State Taxes
California, Illinois, Connecticut, Michigan, Minnesota, and other states are in serious financial difficulty because of profligate spending. Their "leaders" have the idea that they can solve their financial woes simply by taxing the higher income people of their states.
This is doomed to failure and is simply "spread-the-wealth" stupidity--failed socialism thinking. Perhaps it is unfortunate but there is no law against stupidity.
"Economists Arthur Laffer and Stephen Moore said that many state governors are embracing a losing strategy — soaking the rich."
In his article at moneynews.com, Gene J. Koprowski points out that,
Such policies will drive the most productive people AND their money out of the taxing states to those who allow more economic freedom. Nor was Rush Limbaugh first nor the last New Yorker to leave for Florida, and the higher the tax differentials, the greater the rush out of those states, and the greater the prosperity in the low-tax states.
Not only will they take themselves and their money out, but also the jobs they create and support.

Well, here it goes. In Ball, Louisiana, a driver had the bumper sticker "Don't Tread On Me." An officer stopped him and claimed he was being investigated for possible subversive activity--against the US government, of course.
One of the mottoes of our struggle for freedom over 200 years ago is the Gadsden Flag with that coiled rattlesnake above the motto. It has a very interesting history that includes the US Navy and Marine Corps who also displayed it.
As any government becomes more abusive of its citizens, is has reason to distrust and finally fear a grassroots movement by those same citizens. But don't think it will stop with bumper stickers and flags. Caps, T-shirts, and mugs--ANYTHING that can be interpreted as subversive almost certainly will by some authority.
We have the head of the Department Homeland Security, Janet Napolitano, to thank for that policy.

Small Businesses Will Be Hit Hard
The Obama tax plan is beginning to take shape. If you think things are bad now, wait until small businesses get taxed more!
Consider unemployment. Small businesses provide most of the jobs in the US. Those owners don't simply pocket their profits, they hire people in order to do more business. If you tax them more, not only will they not be able to hire more people--precisely what our economy needs--they will have to lay off more!
Furthermore, their increased costs of doing business due to taxes will force them to increase the price of their goods and services.
The Washington Post printed this:
"For the vast majority of people who earn less than $200,000, raising taxes on higher earners might not sound so bad. Yet a lot of small businesses are in that category," Sen. Charles E. Grassley (R-Iowa) said in a recent radio address. "Tell these business owners their taxes will go up; odds are, they'll cut spending . . . stop hiring and lay people off."
Don't believe for a minute that you won't suffer! If you are in the US or dependent on some aspect of the US economy you WILL lose!
Yes, this IS change and you WILL believe in it when you and your family suffer from it.

Get Ready For REALLY Expensive Energy!

"The U.S. Environmental Protection Agency on Friday issued a finding that carbon dioxide and other greenhouse gases pose a danger to the public, taking a major step toward regulations that could have farreaching impacts on the U.S. economy and result in costly new burdens for businesses and consumers.
"Despite the Administration claiming to prefer that Congress pass legislation to curb greenhouse-gas emissions, Friday’s finding is intended to be used as a heavy stick to force Congress’s hand in passing cap-and-trade legislation. If you are wondering what these initiatives would mean for Louisiana families and businesses, just look at the President’s own words: 'Under my plan of a capandtrade system, electricity rates would necessarily skyrocket.' Bottom line: About $3,000 increase in costs per American household per year but nearly $2 trillion for politicians over the first eight years to use for any sort of new wasteful spending program they see fit.
"I’m fighting diligently against the most expensive regulatory scheme in U.S. history from further depressing an already beleaguered economy. Cap and trade has failed miserably in Europe, and without similar concessions from China and India it would make U.S. manufacturers so wholly uncompetitive that the job losses would be staggering. In addition, an increase in electricity prices for Louisiana families struggling today is wholly unacceptable. "I’m fighting diligently against the most expensive regulatory scheme in U.S. history from further depressing an already beleaguered economy. Cap and trade has failed miserably in Europe, and without similar concessions from China and India it would make U.S. manufacturers so wholly uncompetitive that the job losses would be staggering. In addition, an increase in electricity prices for Louisiana families struggling today is wholly unacceptable. More TEA Party Fallout
Hostile CNN reporter blames Fox News for the TEA Parties around the nation. See her bully a TEA protester Of course many of us found out about local TEA Parties from Sen. David Vitter R-LA.
Here is a discussion of the incident with the protester interviewed by Fox's Neil Cavuto.
You see, in interviews with conservatives, the liberal media don't want information, they want you to agree with them or they want your silence so they can shout over you. Notice that when the other members of the crowd wanted the CNN bully to allow the person being interviewed to speak his peace, she quickly bowed out.
Is Fox News always conservative in its points of view or reporting? Certainly not! Yet it is much more often giving a balanced view of the news than the rabidly liberal news outlets such as CNN, ABC, CBS, NBC, and PBS.
Learn to be discriminating and careful about what you allow to be poured into your heads.

Government Corruption -- A How-To Manual
Is government corrupt? Of course it is -- some more than others.
Here is one way it is "managed" by the politicians. And, yes, another of President Obama's appointees is tainted and may be criminally charged.
"The Wall Street Journal reported that Steven Rattner, the head of the Obama administration’s auto task force, was one of the executives involved with payments that are under scrutiny, citing a person familiar with the matter." We should demand better from our leaders! As long as we simply grunt and roll over like a sleeping sow, we will only get more of the greedy political incompetence that is rapidly controlling our lives.

Are Our Combat Veterans Likely to be Terrorists?
Yes, the TEA (Taxed Enough Already) Parties have them scratching their heads and worrying a little more than they did on April 14, but they already have the machinery in place to vilify and finally persecute the true law-abiding citizens. They do NOT want themselves out of power and out of luck.
Janet Napolitano, the head of DHS, warns the nation's police that they should be on the alert.
Then, MSNBC cuts a deal with her. She will appear on their morning show IF they only ask her one question about the Threat Assessment issue with NO follow-up questions. How's that for openness and transparency! Of course it isn't, it is managed news. Check it out here.
Once again, the truth suffers. It is carefully hidden by our leaders. Freedom cannot exist in the absence of truth--all of it.

More On Your Risk of Being Called a "Terrorist" -- DHS Extremism Report
Philip K. Weingart, publisher of Plumb Bob Blog, said this in his post on 4-15-09.
"At the near extreme, this report might be nothing more than the opinion of a paranoiac leftist at DHS thinking out loud that the militias are likely to use current turmoil as a recruiting vehicle. If it’s that, the only problem is that the wording is so unspecific that they’ve taken the entire political right in a net that was aimed at catching hard-right militia. They could solve the entire furor by retracting the report and re-releasing it with tighter wording, including a definition of 'extremist' that excludes ordinary Republican and Libertarian issue voters. Let’s hope they do that.
"At the far extreme, however, a government that plans to institute restrictive and anti-libertarian measures in the near future might issue a report like this in advance to categorize as 'extreme' the expected outrage of ordinary citizens against the loss of their liberties.
"And let’s be candid, here: if the Obama administration does intend to remove Constitutionally-protected liberties and criminalize their political opposition, in a style reminiscent of the Bolsheviks in Russia or the Maoists in China, then they are correct in warning against violence from opponents. That will happen; they can count on it. The Tea Party gatherings all over America today signal the administration that some citizens who have never engaged in activism will rise up as activists if his measures go too far. I’ve written before on this blog that certain intentions of the hard left could at the extreme lead to civil war in the United States."

As Weingart points out, at its best it reflects the paranoiac thinking of some functionaries in our government at the DHS. Either possible interpretation should concern every citizen.
Other conservative commentators, such as Ed Morrissey and Michelle Malkin in their posts share Weingart's concern. It seems the first exposure of this was in a post of April 7, 2009, by Roger Hedgecock, who provides a link to the .pdf file on his site.
Inform yourself! These concerns are not "out of the question" as some would characterize them. The same thinking occurred in the general population of the Russians before the Bolshevik Revolution producing the oppressive socialist communism of the Soviet Union, or the Germans post-WW I before the takeover of the Nazis. It certainly will happen again, but it doesn't have to happen on American soil.

You Are a Terrorist! ... If You Mention The US Constitution!
The TEA Parties (Taxed Enough Already) in cities nationwide were phenomenally successful and attended by many thousands more people than even the proponents had predicted.
Why? Well, because as a nation many more people are fed up with how our tax money and that of our children and grandchildren is being squandered on narrow political interests and ridiculous, self-serving political pork designed to get the politicians votes and campaign donations.
At the TEA Party I attended many people were saying that we should return to the concepts of freedom and government set forth in our founding document, the US Constitution. Of course, that is very natural and normal. Every American citizen should not only read but study that document and our Declaration of Independence.
I know you don't believe it, but the US Department of Homeland Security believes you are likely to be a terrorist if you mention the US Constitution! It is truly unbelievable, but that is how our very own government views anyone promoting the principles in our Constitution.
Here is part of that report:
"Homeland Security Secretary Janet Napolitano defended the report Thursday, but she said the definition of right-wing extremism that was included in a footnote should be changed.
"In the report, right-wing extremism was defined as hate-motivated groups and movements, such as hatred of certain religions, racial or ethnic groups. "It may include groups and individuals that are dedicated to a single issue, such as opposition to abortion or immigration," the report said.
"If there's one part of that report I would rewrite, in the word-smithing, Washington-ese that goes on after the fact, it would be that footnote," Napolitano said Thursday on Fox News."

What the wording does reveal is the attitude and predominant thinking already in place at the highest levels of our government.
As you will notice in the article, they also cast concern on our military veterans returning from combat. This is done because Timothy McVeigh, the 1995 Oklahoma City bomber, was also a veteran. Indeed! It is much more likely that an ex-member of the DHS would become a bombing terrorist than a military veteran.

SOCIALISM: Obama’s vision for economic renewal mostly a self-serving mirage
Here are the simple definitions of socialism by Merriam-Webster.com
1: any of various economic and political theories advocating collective or governmental ownership and administration of the means of production and distribution of goods
2 a: a system of society or group living in which there is no private property b: a system or condition of society in which the means of production are owned and controlled by the state
3: a stage of society in Marxist theory transitional between capitalism and communism and distinguished by unequal distribution of goods and pay according to work done

None of them can or should be applied to a free society.
President Obama’s vision for economic renewal is primarily a self-serving mirage. Look at some of the specifics.
Does he really believe his ideas will actually help the economic recovery? Possibly. However, he is spouting the rhetoric with which his socialist mentors have filled him since his childhood. People like Frank Marshall Davis, member of the Communist Party USA living in Hawaii during Obama's teens, the murdering terrorist, Bill Ayers, the hate-filled racist minister, and the Rev. Jeremiah A. Wright Jr., pastor of Obama’s Trinity United Church of Christ in Chicago.
Obama said in his memoir, Dreams From My Father, "To avoid being mistaken for a sellout, I chose my friends carefully. The more politically active black students. The foreign students. The Chicanos. The Marxist professors and structural feminists." Naturally, having been steeped in Marxist radical socialism, Obama would have a very different philosophical world view from that of the foundation of our great nation.
Look at what the Plumb Bob Blog said during his campaign over a year ago. "Barack Obama was born of Communist activists, mentored by Communist writer and activist, spent his college days hanging around radical activists (this from Obama’s own book), worked as a radical community organizer learning the radical tactics of [Sol] Alinsky, kept contact with radicals through the years, and today lends his political skill to the international goals of radical activists, and has radicals working on for his campaign. Oh, and he believes opposition to the aims of radical activists will fail because the radicals embody the will of God." Read more here.
You are known by your friends and associates -- and Obama's are the hard-core leftists.
No one has been allowed to really publically question Obama's ideas except Joe Wurzelbacher, "Joe the Plumber," and that was an oversight by his staff. Joe quickly figured out that "spreading the wealth" was simply a code word for socialism.
Yes, it IS socialism and socialism has never worked wherever it has been tried--Germany under the Nazis, the old Soviet Union, Cuba, the Peoples' Republic of China--simply name it. The more socialism a country has had, the greater has been its failure.
While you may point to China as having succeeded, please examine its history more closely. The government, out of a desire to succeed, began giving the people more and more opportunity to have their own businesses and keep the products of their labor reducing governmental controls--more freedom.
